Quarrata, Italy – November 14, 2019 – Paoletti Guitars is pleased to announce the release of the second signature model in collaboration with Richard Fortus: Richard Fortus Signature Model #2.
Richard Fortus has been with Guns n’ Roses for the last 18 years and performed with his new signature model on the latest leg of their monumental “Not In This Lifetime” tour, one of the highest grossing tours in history. He has played with everyone from Enrique Iglesias, Rhianna and N’Sync to Thin Lizzy, The Psychedelic Furs and The Crystal Method. “Partnering with such an amazing guitarist as Richard to build an instrument that meets his artistic vision and demands was inspiring,” said Paoletti Guitars Founder Fabrizio Paoletti.
While the body is built with Paoletti Guitars’ renowned chestnut wood, Richard’s signature model features an aged nickel pick guard, white croc pattern Italian leather top and a roasted Canadian maple neck with the 4tus logo laser-engraved onto the headstock. The circuit of the patented handmade pickups and custom electronics was personally designed by Fortus. As Fortus explains, “the reverse angle on the tele bridge pickup gives the low end more attack and clarity where the top strings are warmer.”
Paoletti Guitars are handmade in Tuscany, Italy, using chestnut wood reclaimed from 130 to 150-year-old wine barrels, the effect being layers of tone and sustain that feed a guitarist’s sound.
Lyon & Healy Corporation is the North American Distributor of Paoletti Guitars.
